Overview
Extreme timeline
Deliver a fully functional, production-ready mobile app for iOS and Android within 2 to 3 weeks. The app must be brand-compliant and ready for partner integration, not a prototype or MVP deck.
Real-time expectations
MotoGP fans expect live timing, instant updates, and race-day information in real time. The app needed to match the speed and immediacy of the sport.
Brand & partner complexity
The app required full alignment with MotoGP™'s global visual identity and compliance with partner requirements from Gryfyn and motogpguru.com. Promotions, contests, and sponsor touchpoints needed to be seamlessly integrated.
Prioritization under pressure
Not everythinGiven the three-week timeline, it was essential to prioritize features required for race day and defer others, ensuring a cohesive user experience.ic bet: Launch a Digital Track Companion that enhances the adrenaline of the event — not a generic sports app.

Discovery
Fan & event context
Outlined the race-day journey, including pre-race schedules and circuit information, live timing and breaking news during the event, and post-race promotions, contests, and loyalty initiatives.
Feature prioritization
With a two to three week timeline, we prioritized features based on their importance to the race-day experience.

Brand & partner alignment

What I Learned
Deadlines help clarify priorities. With only three weeks, we focused on what was essential for race day. Live Timing was our main priority, and all other efforts supported this goal.
Brand alignment must be addressed from the outset. Given limited time for revisions, we finalized partner and brand specifications early.
Sports UX requires glanceability. Fans do not read paragraphs during a race; they check timing information within seconds.
Sponsor integration is a design consideration. Promotions and contests are effective only when they feel like a natural part of the fan experience, rather than interruptions.
Speed and quality are not opposites; they are trade-offs managed through scope, not used as excuses.
